The project was in development for approximately one year and cost $8 million to create.
The story was told through an eight minute looping silent film about an apartment complex giving voyeurs a glimpse of the tenants' bizarre private lives.
Each apartment housed a character with an intriguing backstory as part of an interlocking tale of romance, murder, greed, and redemption.
We created artifacts to supplement the characters and tie their stories together. The artifacts extended the feeling of "peeping" from the closed site to the open web.
Artifacts were teased and released on the official HBOVoyeur blog I wrote: TheStoryGetsDeeper.com. My blog was the digital link between audience, character, and story, helping the team win a Gold Cyber Lion for Best Use of Digital Media in 2008.

Our official promo booklet included a page of seeded advertisements and character classifieds that served as a starting point for locating artifacts. We later released an electronic version on the blog due to overwhelming demand on HBO community boards.
We created location-specific postcards for the film event which furthered the story while turning the attendees into voyeuristic participants. The promotion helped the team win a Gold Lion for Best Integrated Promotional Campaign 2008.
HBOVoyeur swept at Cannes winning nine awards including Best Integrated Promotional Campaign and Best Use of Digital Media for TheStoryGetsDeeper.com Become a voyeur yourself and see what people do when they think no one is watching.
